This elegantly designed book tells the story of a young boy who shows cruelty and disrespect to a large oak tree behind his cottage.  His actions get noticed by fairies and they punish him.  He is trapped inside the large tree and watches the season pass.  Soon the boy begins to experience the world as a tree.  The plot thickens when a young girl moves into the cottage with her parents...you have to read the book to see what happens.
